A NOTE FROM RACHEL

I started writing women's fiction in my forties because I wanted to give these women the spotlight.

I love romance, and it runs through many of my books. But it's not the sole focus of a woman's journey. I wanted to write stories that made room for her own life, her choices, and her growth.

Books have always given me an escape, a comfort, a place to go when the world is crazy around you. Hearing that my stories offer readers that same comfort means so much to me. Readers tell me they feel like they know the characters, and miss them when a book ends.

I'm Rachel Hanna. I'm 53, have been married for almost thirty years, and have three grown children and a two-year-old granddaughter. We live on a multigenerational property in North Georgia, and I love spending time at our house in the North Georgia mountains. When I'm not writing, I love gardening, antiquing, and animals.

From Rachel's porch

I collect blue and white. I write about the South.

Ginger jars, chinoiserie plates, anything blue and white that catches my eye in a little antique shop. It's the same thing I love about writing: old things with good stories still in them.

My books live on the Georgia and South Carolina coast, in the Blue Ridge mountains, and in the small towns in between. The porch is always open.
